Paul Allotei Bogle

My name is Paul Bogle, a self-taught photographer who grew up in New Addington, Croydon, in a Ghanaian household with my mother, older brother, and younger brother—making me the middle kid lol. Art is something that has really shaped me as an individual. I got hooked on Japanese anime from an early age, probably in the later years of primary school if I remember correctly. It definitely had an effect on my style, whether it was the bright and expressive colours of the characters or the underlying themes of perseverance and pushing forward to overcome obstacles.

Art has always been something I excelled at during my academic years—creativity has always been at my core. Through trial and error, this passion eventually led me to pick up a camera.

How would you describe you photography style?

My main skill is in capturing intense and detailed shots that bring out every aspect of the subject in their environment.
